The Girls Dedication
Some of you may or may not know me and my family yet. I’ve been married to Lacey over seven years now. We have two girls, Emma who is four and Addisyn who is two. I’ve been blessed beyond all measure to have these three girls in my life and I honestly couldn’t imagine my life without them.

This past Sunday we had the girls dedicated, and as our pastor was praying over the girls I just automatically started thinking about my heritage. That morning we had four generations represented there, my grandmother, mom, me, and then my girls. In that moment I just began to thank God for my family, for having parents and grandparents that poured into me by example. We spent most of our childhood being shown how to feed the hungry, serve at the church, sacrifice for others, and most of all serve Jesus.

In this day and age it seems like we just can’t get enough for our kids, but Sunday morning God really convicted me that it’s not in our possessions or how much stuff we can “buy” our girls. It’s all about pouring into them the same teachings, morals, and values that I was taught, to continue the heritage and teach my girls to fully rely on God and trust in Jesus Christ. There is no doubt in my mind that God is a God of heritage, families, and love of course. After all He gave His family, His Son, for us.
