Song Ideas?
Hello everyone! I just wanted to share some exciting news with you and also get your opinion on the matter. We’re starting a new CD at the end of this month; it’s not a CD for radio or big tracks just a CD of the “Basics”, so we’re open for suggestions. For a little incentive we will mail you a copy of the completed project if your song idea makes it. Also after many request it looks as if “It is Well with My Soul” is already on the list. If we have already chosen your song we will notify you after your comment. Best I can tell there are about 5 or so slots left. This project will not be a “Hymns” only thing, we’re looking for a variety of familiar songs. We want your input, so don’t let us down.
God Bless and Merry Christmas!!
P.S. Here are some pictures we took Thanksgiving at my sisters. Aren’t my girls cute?

I LOVE the song “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus” — I know, it’s a hymn…..or ANY Mark Bishop song, of course!

Hello! and Merry Christmas to all of you!
all thought I love to here you sing and it is hard to say what song I like best, the one that I keep going back to when thing are getting me down is Till The Storm Passes By.
We all have thing to go though and just knowing that God has us safe in his hand and that as long as we have faith we will get though it and the store will pass on by,it just lifts my heart and gives me hope. I Wish you all the best and have a Wonderful Christmas. Your Girls and wife are very beautiful. God bless you Rachel
sorry that is the storm will pass on by.
Standing on the Promises
I would have to say that my all time favorite song is “Ten Thousand Years” by Elmer Cole. It is typically a very high song, but you guys wouldn’t have any problem pulling it off.
I hope you all have a very Merry CHRISTmas!
In HIS Service
William
Hey Guys..I would love for you to do “Till the Storm Passes By” just for Mom
i vote for “Till the Storm Passes By” too! I immediately thought of this one when I was reading the update! One of my many favorites!
There are no bad ones!
May God continue to Bless you each and every one………..you have such a Beautiful Family! And we love all!
Merry Christmas………..Christ IS the reason!
Two thoughts:
(1) His Grace is Sufficient For Me (Statesmen, Kingsmen, Booth Brothers)
(2) A Rambos song. Their songs fit family harmonies best, and I think a male trio family-harmony version of “If That Isn’t Love,” “Tears Will Never Stain,” or (the one I’d most like to see you do) “Come Spring” would be just incredible.
Keep’em coming, so far we have none that we’ve already chosen. Here’s the issue, we love good harmonic slow songs, those are easy. What about fast ones?
I love that song “So High”…lyrics are briefly…”so high you cant get over it , so wide you cant get around it…” Know it? It jumps and your great harmony would make for an invigorating listen.
Merry Christmas and Christ’s Precious Peace!
Hey Guys its Eric from Dry Valley Baptist in Trion, I have always loved the song Standing on the Solid Rock. I sing this one frequently. He Did All for me another favorite.
The church band I use to play in did a jazzy Jesus is Coming soon. We picked up the tempo. It was fun to play. I play trumpet so we could do alot with it.
I have always liked “There’s Been A Change In Me”.
Better Hurry up (old goodman song) and Treasures Unseen! You guys are the best. My favorite is the tenor cause Tenors rock!! One of these day I wanna be a tenor!
How about “Through the Fire by the Crabb Family. You guys would tear it up. God bless
How about “My God is Real” with you guys personal touch on it, or “I Was There When It Happened”. Take care and Merry Christmas to each of you and families.
OK, you want fast songs that would work for your style. Try these:
Resurrection by Bill Gaither Trio / on a Gaither Homecoming Video featuring Guy Penrod – this song is just waiting for a group with good harmonies to run with it (but maybe that idea is better reserved for a big project with radio etc.)
I Don’t Want to Live No More Without Jesus – Cathedrals, from their 1982 Something Special album
My Soul Shall Live On – Cathedrals, from An Old Convention Song (1985)
Back to Bethel – a great but largely forgotten uptempo Cathedrals song from 1988′s Goin’ in Style
On Some Sweet Day – classic convention song recorded a few years back by the Florida Boys, with a fun tenor “yodeling” part
Not Made With Hands – Gold City, Windows of Home, 1990
Beyond the Sunset – the fast one the Florida Boys and Gold City did, not the slow slow slow one others did
He’d Still Been God – Greater Vision
Go Tell The People – Greater Vision
I’ve Passed Over Into Canaanland – Gold City, Kingdom Heirs
Shoutin’ Happy – Kingsmen, Live at U of Alabama
Bound for the Land of Canaan – ditto
Meet Me at the Table – Kingsmen, Stand Up Live at Opryland
The Light House, is absolutely my favorite song. I know it is old but it still has a great message.
