“Home Free”
I’m very saddened today; there are two lovely ladies that have directly and indirectly affected my life. These ladies have gone on home to meet our wonderful Saviour. One is a lady from my church and from a family that is very close to ours, Mrs. Sybil Bailey. The other I received confirmation last night was Mrs. Gwynn Watwood, our little mature riverboat lady.
I’ve cried over both of them and I’ve cried for their families. This situation just made me think of one of my favorite Roger Bennett songs. Both of these ladies lost the battle of cancer but won the ultimate healing, and now they are “Home Free.”
Please lift these families up in your prayers. I know there are many, many hard days ahead for them.
I am very sorry for your loss. It upsets me about Mrs. Watwood. I feel like I know her from reading your letters on this website. My prayers are with the families.
I know, it does feel like we knew her really well. It’s just nice to know through His Holy Sprit our spirits bear witness with one another and in all actuallity we did know her and we will see her again.
I received a card from Becky last week telling us and thanking us for the cards we sent Gayle and her mother. For someone we only knew for a short time, Gwynn was a very special lady.
