For all of you Singing News subscribers if you’ll notice on page 82, our song “Give Him Room” made #7 in the top 10 new releases which we’re really excited about. Also over at absolutelygospel.com that same song is at #27. That’s definitely a first for us. If you have a gospel station near you, call and request it. Just tell the DJ it’s on the latest Crossroads radio sampler.
Also this week Jaron went up to Crossroads and got a “almost” final mix for our newest album. The finishing touches will be put on next week, so I think we’re hoping for a early September release! Also feel free to post your “weekly update”. How was your week?

I was looking through some of my pictures the other day and I noticed the picture in the background of my picture. There is a guy that looks like one of my favorite gospel singers. Who does it look like?

P.S. If you can also guess the restaurant we will mail you a $25 gift certificate to this place, but you must guess who the person in the back looks like first. So really you have to read my mind and figure out where I ate. Also comments on the beauty of my girls are also appreciated…..lol!!

At the place where we had Jaron’s birthday supper it was karaoke night so we decided to try and sing this song together. We listened to The Gatlins a lot growing up, loving their songs and most of all their harmonies. It was really fun for us to sing this song togther. I do realize that all the parts and pitches aren’t perfect but I thought it was good enough to share. Hope you enjoy.

Jaron has a Birthday

Hey everyone I just thought I would put a notice up that Jaron is turning 1 more year older today. I am very thankful for Jaron, he has been one of the most important people in my life, and he’s not bad at song writing or singing tenor either. Looks like we’re going to one of his favorite Mexican restaurants in Ringgold. Oh and on Mondays they have Karaoke so you never know what we may get into. So please take a moment and give him a birthday wish, and I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if you gave him some money……ha ha.

Also on a side note I put up some pictures of our mom’s birthday get together that Jaron and Sandy hosted at their house. You can see those pictures here.

So I couldn’t resist putting this picture up. Jaron was helping my cousin tie his tie for his sister’s wedding. He may very possibly kill me for this. In his defense though, he has always stayed with the current style, whatever that was then. The comments on the post do come in order so we’ll know the first correct guesser. God Calls Us All

Well this is not a video of us in the studio but it is a video of ”Won” of us. Shantell’s church has a television program called “A Moment of Truth” and before each sermon they show a video from groups within their church. Well they asked Shantell to do a few songs so he gladly obliged.
I love watching this video. Even if he is my brother his smile is so infectious. So here he is singing a Mark Lowry tune, “God Calls us All”. This is one of my favorite songs and I think he did a wonderful job!

In The Studio

Hello all. I certainly hope everyone had a good Memorial day weekend. We had a pretty good one ourselves. None of us really did a whole lot but just had some much needed family time.

I just thought I would let you all know that we were in the studio today and will be tomorrow. Do you remember that album we started back at the first of the year? Yeah that one! We’re going to finish vocals up tomorrow. I hoping at some point tomorrow I can get a little video sample so you can hear at least one song we’re working on.
